Eugene “Big U” Henley has been accused of killing a young rapper and dumping his body in a Las Vegas desert.
On Wednesday, the U.S. Attorney’s Office for the Central District of California released a press release stating that Henley had been charged in a federal complaint alleging he ran a criminal enterprise involved in a series of racketeering crimes, including a murder in January 2021.
According to the release, Henley murdered 21-year-old Rayshawn Williams after the latter recorded and released a diss song aimed at him. Williams was an aspiring musician who was reportedly signed to Henley’s independent record label Uneek Music and the music exec had paid for the artist to record in Las Vegas, per the release.
Williams didn’t record at the studio that Henley paid for; instead, he recorded a diss song aimed at his label boss at another studio, which led to Henley confronting him, per the release. Henley then allegedly drove Williams to a deserted location in North Las Vegas and shot him in the head before dragging his body into a ditch, the release reads.
The release added that Henley had returned to Los Angeles after the murder and ordered security surveillance footage from the studio be deleted. Henley is also alleged to have told witnesses not to speak with law enforcement regarding Williams’ murder.
Henley, who is still at large as of Wednesday, has been accused of defrauding companies, athletes, and celebrities, including Draymond Green and Shaquille O’Neal. The NBA big men were allegedly persuaded to donate money to his charities, but Henley allegedly transferred the money to his own personal bank accounts.
