Knicks Announce Karl-Anthony Towns News Before Warriors Game

The New York Knicks have looked like one of the better teams during the 2024-25 NBA season after acquiring center Karl-Anthony Towns and forward Mikal Bridges over the Summer.

On Tuesday, the Knicks will be looking for their fourth-straight win, hosting Steph Curry and the Golden State Warriors. The Warriors made some significant roster changes of their own recently, trading Andrew Wiggins to the Miami Heat in exchange for Jimmy Butler as part of a multi-team deal..

The Knicks will have their hands full on Tuesday night with the Warriors, who have won six of their last seven games. Unfortunately for New York, it will be without its starting center as Towns has been ruled out due to personal reasons.

“He’s out tonight,” Knicks coach Tom Thibodeau said of Towns.

Towns is the only key player on the Knicks expected to miss Tuesday night’s battle. However, Warriors forward Jonathan Kuminga (right ankle sprain) and guard Gary Payton II (nasal bone contusion) have both been ruled out as well.

Towns is having one of the best seasons of his 11-year career, averaging 24.5 points, a career-high 13.4 rebounds and 3.1 assists.

Following the Warriors game, the Knicks will be back in action on Thursday night, facing the Los Angeles Lakers and their new star duo of LeBron James and Luka Doncic.
